The Town of Eddington turned 200 on February 22, 2011!
The weekend of July 22, 23, and 24 there were a variety of events to celebrate the town’s birthday. Check them out!
FRIDAY, JULY 22
- SUPPER 5pm & 6pm – chicken barbeque with tons of sides and pies – Comins Hall 1st floor, 1387 Main Road. $7 adults, $3 children
- CONCERT 7pm – starring Nevah, “A Dynamic Collection of Musicians” – Comins Hall 2nd floor, 1387 Main Road. *FREE* concessions & 50/50 raffle
SATURDAY, JULY 23
- PARADE 10am – steps off at Merrill Road, marches down rt. 9 to Rooks Road. Floats, bands, decorated bicycles, antique cars, fire apparatus, clowns & more!
- TOWN FAIR 11am to 3pm – browse exhibits ranging from the Forest Service to the Historical Society to the Grange to a showing of antique cars. Food, games, activities for kids. 50/50 raffle – Town Office Grounds
- COMMUNITY DANCE PARTY 8pm – music from the 50′s to the 90′s, birthday cake & punch! – Camp Roosevelt Dining Hall, Blackcap Road
SUNDAY, JULY 24
- CHURCH SERVICES – “Remembering our Founders” at either the North Brewer Eddington Methodist Church (31 Main Road) or the East Eddington Community Church (corner of Main & Merrill Roads). After church, take a walk in the Jonathan Eddy Cemetery off Hill Street (rt. 178), or the Settlers Cemetery behind New Hope Hospice (Main Road) to pay homage to our founders.
- PLAY BALL! 2pm – watch the games on the field behind the Town Office. Concessions available.
- CHORAL CONCERT 7pm – Enjoy a varied evening of music with the “Singer Around the Bend”, combined choirs, folk music, and more – North Brewer Eddington Methodist Church. *FREE*
